After a historical victory in Tripura this year, BJP’s next target is to win the only Congress ruled state in entire North East. The election for the forty seat Mizoram assembly will be held on 28th November this year.
BJP’s central leadership has decided to make Tripura’s Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as one of the most prominent campaign face in Mizoram assembly elections. Not only that BJP’s Central leadership has given the responsibility of winning five seats out of forty seats to Tripura’s BJP state leadership.
Meanwhile a team of Tripura BJP including BJP State General Secretary, Pratima Bhowmik, Minister Santana Chakma and MLA Pramod Reang yesterday had reached Mizoram to visit the five constituencies for which Tripura BJP has been given responsibility.
BJP State General Secretary, Pratima Bhowmik said, “We have yesterday reached Mizoram and we are visiting all the constituencies today. The five seats for which we have got the responsibility are mostly populated with people from Chakma and Reang community.”
She further added that they have been getting positive response from the people of the state. She said, “They are fed up with the Congress regime and we are certain that this time they are going to give BJP an opportunity to progress Mizoram”.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is also scheduled to visit Mizoram tomorrow. He will be addressing his maiden public meeting at Kamalanagar along with BJP State General Secretary, Pratima Bhowmik, Minister Santana Chakma and MLA Pramod Reang.
